PÁNG'S STORY
Một dự án mà chúng tôi đồng hành cùng Câu lạc bộ Nữ sinh Mở đường đến Tương lai do Vinacapital Foundation phối hợp với Quỹ học bổng Vừ A Dính do bà Trương Mỹ Hoa – Nguyên Phó Chủ tịch Nước làm Chủ tịch Quỹ nhằm tiếp sức cho trẻ em gái dân tộc thiểu số vượt qua rào cản cá nhân và các hủ tục, thúc đẩy bình đẳng giới, biến họ trở thành tác nhân thay đổi trong cộng đồng nông thôn của mình.
A project in which we collaborated with the "Opening Paths to the Future" Girls’ Club, an initiative by VinaCapital Foundation in partnership with the Vừ A Dính Scholarship Fund, chaired by Madam Trương Mỹ Hoa, former Vice President of Vietnam. The program aims to empower ethnic minority girls to overcome personal barriers and harmful traditions, promote gender equality, and transform them into change agents within their rural communities.

Trong bối cảnh ấy, chúng tôi được tiếp xúc và lắng nghe câu chuyện bị bắt vợ hụt của Páng. Trong lời kể của em, mọi thứ đều nhuốm màu “ám ảnh” và đầy “sự sợ hãi”. Nhưng sau tất cả, Páng đã vượt qua nỗi sợ và truyền cảm hứng tích cực từ chính câu chuyện của mình đến những người bạn đồng trang lứa. Và hơn tất cả, trong em vẫn luôn rạo rực những ước mơ của lứa tuổi đẹp nhất, về tương lai và trách nhiệm với những người thân yêu.
In that context, we had the opportunity to meet Páng and listen to her story of narrowly escaping a forced marriage. In her words, everything was tinged with trauma and fear. Yet, despite it all, Páng overcame her fears and turned her experience into a source of inspiration for her peers. More than anything, she carries the dreams of youth—of a future filled with hope and a deep sense of responsibility for her loved ones.
“Em không muốn lấy chồng. Em muốn làm gì đó để có nhiều tiền xây nhà cho bố mẹ này, mua xe cho mình này, mua quần áo cho mấy đứa em nhỏ…bằng tiền của mình…em rất muốn như thế…

Ước muốn của cô bé 17 tuổi vang giữa những mênh mông của đại ngàn rừng núi sau ngần ấy những ám ảnh của tuổi thơ mà em từng trải qua đã phần nào gợi cho những người cầm máy như chúng tôi những ý niệm và sự rung cảm mạnh mẽ để hoàn thành tác phẩm này. The wishes of a 17-year-old girl echoed through the vast expanse of the mountains and forests—carrying the weight of a childhood marked by fear and hardship. Her words, raw and resolute, stirred something profound in us as filmmakers, igniting a deep sense of purpose and emotional resonance that guided us in bringing this story to life.

Video bắt đầu từ câu chuyện của Páng dựa trên trải nghiệm của cô bé với lần từng bị bắt vợ hụt để thấy góc nhìn, quan điểm của chính cô bé và những người xung quanh về sự việc này nói riêng và câu chuyện bắt vợ nói chung. Từ đây một bức tranh lớn hơn về nhận thức, về những vấn đề mà những cô bé dân tộc miền núi gặp phải dần được gợi mở.
Mục tiêu của sản phẩm cuối cùng là kể lại một cách khéo léo những gì đã diễn ra trong quá khứ, vừa đủ để người xem nhận ra tầm quan trọng và lý do những Dự án như Câu lạc bộ Nữ sinh ra đời. Đây chính là cơ hội để các em trang bị thêm kiến thức, lý lẽ trong việc bảo vệ mình và những người xung quanh, để tự tin với lựa chọn và quyết định của bản thân. Hơn hết, các em chính là những hạt mầm để gieo tiếp những thay đổi về mặt nhận thức trong chính cộng đồng của mình và cho xã hội.
The video begins with Páng’s story, drawing from her personal experience of narrowly escaping a forced marriage. Through her perspective, along with insights from those around her, we gain a deeper understanding of not only her individual experience but also the broader issue of bride kidnapping. From here, a larger picture unfolds - one that sheds light on the challenges faced by young ethnic minority girls in mountainous regions.
The final product aims to subtly and thoughtfully retell the events of the past, providing just enough context for viewers to grasp the urgency and significance of initiatives like the Girls’ Club. These programs equip young girls with the knowledge and confidence to protect themselves and those around them, empowering them to make their own choices and stand by their decisions. More importantly, these girls are the seeds of change -helping to reshape perceptions within their own communities and beyond.
“Chúng tôi luôn tâm niệm rằng, việc làm phim không đơn thuần chỉ là câu chuyện xoay quanh nút REC và những kỹ thuật bấm máy điêu luyện, cho dù không thể phủ nhận được tầm quan trọng của những kỹ thuật này. Lý do thuyết phục hơn để chúng tôi đứng sau những khuôn hình là chúng tôi nhận ra, hơn một lần trong những cảnh quay của mình, chúng tôi đã thật sự say sưa trong câu chuyện và tâm tư của nhân vật, mà bằng cách nào đó chúng tôi có thể bước chân vào…”

A far more compelling reason for us to stand behind the lens is the realization that, more than once, in the midst of our shots, we have found ourselves truly immersed in the stories and emotions of our characters - as if, in some way, we had stepped into their world…”
