Năm 2025 đánh dấu 15 năm Đối tác Chiến lược giữa Việt Nam và Hà Lan - hai quốc gia cách nhau hơn 10.000 km, nhưng lại cùng chia sẻ một định mệnh: đều là những vùng châu thổ thấp, nơi nước vừa là nguồn sống, vừa là thách thức sinh tồn.
2025 marks 15 years of Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the Netherlands - two nations separated by over 10,000 kilometers, yet united by a shared destiny: both are low-lying delta regions where water is simultaneously a source of life and an existential challenge.
Đại sứ quán Hà Lan tại Việt Nam mong muốn một bộ phim không chỉ tổng kết thành tựu, mà còn kể về tầm nhìn tương lai - từ chính phủ đến doanh nghiệp, từ tri thức đến cộng đồng. Và Wetouch được tin tưởng giao phó nhiệm vụ: chuyển hóa một chủ đề kỹ thuật, phức tạp thành một câu chuyện điện ảnh cảm xúc và nhân văn.
The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Vietnam sought a film that would not only commemorate achievements, but also tell the story of a future vision – from government to business, from knowledge to community. Wetouch was entrusted with the mission: to transform a technical, complex subject into a cinematic story rich with emotion and humanity.

"Between deltas, across the water" không chỉ ghi nhận 15 năm hợp tác – mà trở thành một câu chuyện truyền cảm hứng về cách hai quốc gia cùng chia sẻ tri thức, công nghệ và tinh thần sáng tạo để đối mặt với biến đổi khí hậu. "Between deltas, across the water" does not merely document 15 years of collaboration – it has become an inspiring story about how two nations share knowledge, technology, and creative spirit to confront climate change.
Thách thức
Đây không chỉ là một dự án phim tài liệu, mà còn là một nhiệm vụ ngoại giao văn hóa.
Nội dung đa tầng: Các dự án hợp tác trải dài từ các vùng ven biển Trà Vinh, Cần Thơ, Sóc Trăng,… đến khu đô thị Thủ Đức - làm sao kể được câu chuyện vừa tổng thể, vừa sâu sắc?
Kết nối đa bên: Làm việc với hơn 10 đơn vị Việt Nam - Hà Lan (chính phủ, viện nghiên cứu, doanh nghiệp, tổ chức quốc tế) đòi hỏi sự tôn trọng tuyệt đối về học thuật lẫn ngoại giao.
Giữ cảm xúc bên cạnh sự chính xác của dữ liệu: Biến những con số, giải pháp kỹ thuật thành hình ảnh chạm đến trái tim - đó là thách thức lớn nhất.
Challenges
This was not merely a documentary film project - it was a cultural diplomacy mission.
Multi-layered Content: Partnership projects span from the coastal regions of Tra Vinh and Ben Tre to the urban landscape of Thu Duc – how to tell a story that is both comprehensive and profound?
Multi-stakeholder Coordination: Working with over 10 Vietnamese and Dutch organizations (government agencies, research institutes, enterprises, international organizations) demanded absolute respect for both academic rigor and diplomatic sensitivity.
Preserving Emotion Amid Accurate Data: Transforming numbers and technical solutions into images that touch the heart – this was the greatest challenge.

Phỏng vấn chân thực từ người dân, nhà nghiên cứu, chuyên gia Hà Lan và lãnh đạo địa phương được đan cài khéo léo với footage dự án, mang đến chiều sâu cảm xúc và tính thuyết phục.
Creative Solution
Wetouch built the narrative through four keywords:
Water - origin, life, culture
Thirst - challenges and aspirations for change
Diamond - symbolizing the multi-stakeholder collaboration model (Government - Business - Academia - Community)
Water - faith in sustainable flow
Filming took place in Tra Vinh, Long An, Thu Duc City, and Hanoi, interwoven with images of the Netherlands - land of dikes and windmills - creating a visual dialogue between two deltas, two cultures, one shared aspiration.
Authentic interviews with local residents, researchers, Dutch experts, and government leaders were skillfully interlaced with project footage, delivering emotional depth and compelling credibility.
Nước thách thức chung của chúng ta. Nhưng cũng chính nhờ nước mà chúng ta được kết nối.
và vì thế, "Between deltas, across the water" không chỉ là một bộ phim mà là lời nhắc về sợi dây gắn kết giữa con người, thiên nhiên và tương lai bền vững.

and then, "Between deltas, across the water" is not just a film, it is a reminder of the thread binding people, nature, and a sustainable future.
